Voters' confidence in President Donald Trump when it comes to North Korea is increasing ahead of a possible meeting next month with Kim Jong Un, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll. A combined 50 percent of voters have either “a lot” or “some” confidence in Trump to handle North Korea, the poll shows. That is a slight increase from last month , when 47 percent had some measure of confidence in Trump. North Korea appeared to flip on the US on Tuesday with a broadside against President Donald Trump's administration.
By threatening to pull out of a summit with Trump, Kim has turned the tables, and potentially put himself in a position to demand concessions from the US.
It looks like a power move that may already have the US considering concessions to Pyongyang.
There are already signs that Kim is bluffing, and that Trump may cave to some of Kim's demands to save the summit.
