'I don't know. I wasn't there': Most GOP Senators decline to condemn law enforcement tear-gassing peaceful protesters for Trump's church photo op

Most GOP Senators either defended, did not criticize, or declined to comment on law enforcement clearing a crowd of non-violent protesters for Trump to be photographed holding up a Bible at St. John's Church.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday evening, law enforcement used tear gas, rubber bullets, and flash-bang grenades to clear a crowd of peaceful demonstrators so Trump could walk to the photo op.
While some Republican senators, like Sen. Susan Collins of Maine and Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska, criticized the president, the vast majority did not. See what they said below.
