IHeartMedia is Going Public with a Direct Listing-But It's No Spotify

Wall Street is tuned in to direct listings.
But make no mistake-the upcoming iHeartMedia direct listing isn't the new Spotify.
The radio company filed with Nasdaq to go the direct listing route under the ticker “IHRT,” and is set to debut July 18. With a direct listing , iHeart would go public without issuing new shares. Instead, direct listings are a way for existing owners to cash out shares and sell directly to new buyers. But while iHeart has some $448 million on hand going into their listing, there is obvious cause for concern over the company.
