Albany County sets coronavirus hospitalization record for fourth time this month

Albany County officials expressed concern Monday about the continued sharp increase in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations, and announced a record number of residents are now hospitalized with the virus.
Ten more residents were hospitalized with the virus overnight, County Executive Dan McCoy said. There are now 72 residents hospitalized - the most the county has seen to date.
"This is now the fourth time in just over a week that we've set a record for the number of residents hospitalized - another record this month of November I did not want to hit and I'm not proud of it," McCoy said.

ALBANY - Another Albany County resident was killed by the coronavirus, County Executive Dan McCoy said Monday.
The man was in his 90s.
Meanwhile, there were 105 new confirmed cases the virus overnight, 80 of which could not be traced to a potential exposure.
McCoy said 72 residents are now hospitalized with the virus - the county's highest total to date.
