Franklin Park Zoo welcomes new baby gorilla

A team of veterinarians and physicians have successfully delivered a baby male male gorilla via Cesarean section at Boston's Franklin Park Zoo.
The adorable baby was delivered on Oct. 14, and the baby and his 39-year-old mother, Kiki, are doing well and bonding together behind the scenes.
This is the first male gorilla ever born at Franklin Park Zoo, weighing in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces at birth.
The baby and mom are currently bonding behind the scenes and are not yet on exhibit. Zoo New England will update its website and social media when they make their exhibit debut at Franklin Park Zoo.
