The bad has gotten worse for the Red Sox: Eduardo Rodriguez, who had been working his way through complications from COVID-19, has been shut down for the season, chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom announced prior to Saturday night's game against the Yankees.
Rodriguez, who tested positive for COVID-19 last month, suffered a heart ailment called myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle, during his recovery.
