SEATTLE - Starbucks says it will require customers to wear a facial covering while visiting any of its company-owned cafe locations in the United States starting July 15.
The company announced the move on Thursday saying it's “prioritizing the health and well-being of partners and customers.”
Starbucks says customers not wearing coverings will be able to pick up their order in the drive-thru or use curbside pickup through the Starbucks app. The covering will be required to enter the store.

Starbucks will require all customers inside locations to wear masks starting on July 15.
"In our continued effort in prioritizing the health and well-being of partners and customers, beginning on July 15, we will be requiring customers to wear facial coverings while visiting all company-owned café locations in the US," Starbucks said in a statement.
Starbucks is the first national restaurant chain to roll out a mask policy for customers across the US, joining Costco and Apple in doing so.
