Suspect shot after bringing gun to Dixon High School, officials say

DIXON, Ill. - A person was shot at Dixon High School on Wednesday after bringing a gun to the school, the city manager said.
The incident happened about 8 a.m. Wednesday, according to Danny Langloss, the Dixon city manager. The suspect opened fire on an officer at the school, who returned fire - striking the suspect.
City officials did not provide details on the suspect's age or gender.
The suspect was in custody Wednesday with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the suspect acted alone.
No students or staff were injured, Langloss said.
