White House counsel Don McGahn departed the the Trump administration on Wednesday, leaving the counsel's office without a head as the midterms approach and the prospect of a deluge of subpoenas from a new House Democratic majority looms. WASHINGTON - Don McGahn has returned to civilian life.
A White House official confirms that Wednesday was McGahn's last day as White House counsel. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters.
