Massachusetts health officials reported 5,192 new coronavirus cases Friday following two days of record-setting case counts while officials also reported 37 deaths.
Friday's count of 5,192 follows Thursday's count of 6,477 cases - with 680 of the cases backlogged - and Wednesday's previous record tally of 4,613 cases. Before Wednesday, the previous one-day high for the state was 3,079 cases on April 23.
