A federal judge, citing a lawsuit by the Texas Attorney General, has issued a two-week temporary restraining order shutting down US President Joe Biden's effort to halt all illegal immigrant deportations for 100 days.
US District Judge Drew Tipton blocked the deportation freeze for 14 days after the state of Texas sued to stop it from taking effect. The two parties have until January 28 to set a re-hearing date.
