The Supreme Court is set to hear arguments Monday in a case that gives conservative justices a chance to allow same-sex marriage opponents to ignore laws that protect LGBTQ people against discrimination. The high court will consider whether a Colorado-based web designer, Lorie Smith, is obligated under her state's laws to design websites for weddings of same-sex couples.
