Police: Man charged with murder sat on 2-year-old boy, leading to toddler's death

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - A man facing first-degree murder charges was accused of sitting on a 2-year-old boy , leading to his death.
Council Bluffs police identified the suspect as Larry Murphy, 31, of Omaha, Neb.
Police said on March 15, around 11:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to Casey's General Store in Council Bluffs for a report of an unresponsive child, identified as Oakland Oburu.

An 11-year-old is now facing a second murder charge in connection with an Alton, N.H., shooting last Friday that left two people dead.
The juvenile has now been charged under the state's juvenile laws with a second count of second-degree murder following the death of 48-year-old James Eckert, authorities said Tuesday.
