Cape Cod DA: Man charged with murdering mother, setting her body on fire

A 34-year-old man was charged with murdering his mother and setting her body on fire in the front yard of a Truro home, authorities said.
Evidence in the case suggests the victim is Susan Howe, a 69-year-old woman who was active on two town boards in the Outer Cape community.
Her son, Adam Howe, has been charged with her murder, according to a Saturday announcement from Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe and Truro Police Chief Jamie Calise.
