MADISON, Wis. - The incoming Democratic governor of Wisconsin says he plans to make a personal appeal to his defeated rival, Gov. Scott Walker, to veto far-reaching GOP legislation that would strip the new administration of some powers. If that doesn't work, he might sue.
Wisconsin Republicans pushed through protests, internal disagreement and Democratic opposition to pass the bills after an all-night session. The measures would shift power to the GOP-controlled Legislature and weaken the authority of the office Republicans will lose in January.

MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin's incoming Democratic governor says he's willing to go to court if a Republican plan to restrict his powers is signed into law.
But Tony Evers says he'll first make a personal appeal to Republican Gov. Scott Walker to veto the legislation.
Republicans on Wednesday passed far-reaching legislation that cuts into both Evers' powers and those of the Democrat who will take over as attorney general next month.
