‘ICE Air' flights out of Logan will feel pinch of Suffolk eviction

The “ICE Air” operations out of New Hampshire and Logan International Airport will be more difficult now that the Suffolk Sheriff's office has ordered all illegal immigrant detainees out of the county jail.
Suffolk Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins sent the Boston-area office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement an eviction notice Tuesday, giving the agency 60 days to remove all detainees from the South Bay house of correction, as the Herald first reported .
That means the 200 ICE detainees facing deportation will have to be moved to the Plymouth or Bristol county jails, or elsewhere, forcing...
