Boys soccer: Arlington shuts down Winchester

ARLINGTON - Trailing in the Middlesex League Liberty Division standings, Arlington needed to put forth its best performance in the first leg of a back-to-back series to keep the pressure on Winchester.
The Spy Ponders made the most of the opportunity, shutting down the reigning state champs with a 2-0 victory at Peirce Field in Arlington, and are now nipping at Winchester's heels.
