State Individual singles champion Ashleigh Parman led a clean sweep in singles as Acton-Boxboro (15-3) handed previously undefeated Wellesley its first loss, 4-1, in a Division 1 state semifinal yesterday at Newton North. The Colonials will look to defend their state title against Algonquin on Wednesday.
“Our league was so tough, the North final with Lincoln-Sudbury was just a blood bath,” said Acton-Boxboro coach Mike Gardner. “That's what its like in our league every day.”
