NYC Under Curfew; Complaint Filed in Floyd Death: Protest Update

New Yorkers face a nightly curfew of 8 p.m. this week to help police deal with violence and vandalism amid racial protests across the most populous U.S. city. The NYPD was “not effective at doing their jobs,” Governor Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday, after a night of looting in midtown Manhattan. After months of lockdown, businesses that were preparing to reopen have the added burden of dealing with broken windows and stolen goods.
