Cal Ripken, a sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer, received only 98.53 percent of votes. On Tuesday, New York Yankees relief pitcher Mariano Rivera became the first ever unanimous Baseball Hall of Fame selection, receiving 100 percent of votes. Former Orioles' pitcher Mike Mussina, Blue Jays pitcher Roy Halladay, and Mariners designated hitter Edgar Martinez round out the group of inductees for the 2019 class.
