Eddie Alvarez wasn't sure he could fight again after eye injuries in ONE Championship debut

Eddie Alvarez almost saw a new chapter in his career come to an end before it even got going.
After an incredible run in the UFC to capturing the lightweight title, the former Bellator champion became one of the hottest free agents late last year. Alvarez ended up signing with ONE Championship, but his much anticipated promotional debut didn't go as planned. He was taken out by Timofey Nastyukhin in the first round and suffered a nasty eye injury in the process.
