Felicity Jones gets physical for ‘Aeronauts' role

NEW YORK - For Felicity Jones, last seen as cerebral Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in “On the Basis of Sex,” this week's “The Aeronauts” is its opposite: an intensely physical role.
“Aeronauts” finds Jones as Amelia Wren, a 19th century gas balloon pilot, a daredevil who fused grit, glamour and style into a crowd-pleasing celebrity.
Wren takes James Glaisher , a determined if fearful scientist, as high as they can go.
“Initially the way in was for me really physical, a lot of doing,” Jones, 36, began. “I worked with an acrobat who just opened up a whole new world of existence where you spend a lot of time swinging on ropes in the air.
“Which was kind of the perfect way for me to find out who she was with her carefree personality. We had so much rehearsal on this - about four weeks. We had a big hangar where we were rehearsing and we had a prop basket.
