Patriots Report Card: Who deserves blame for the loss at Houston?

Out-coached and outplayed from the quarterback position, the Patriots found out what it would be like to play themselves Sunday in Houston.
Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson pulled off a Bradyesque performance, identifying mismatches when the defense was in man coverage and striking the soft spots of zone over a four-touchdown performance. Defensively, Houston schemed to eliminate the Pats' top weapons. And on special teams, the Texans found a slight edge in the field position battle.
All the hallmarks of a Patriots win were present - just on the opposite sideline.
Having lost two of their last four, the Pats' problems now appear more permanent than passing. The offense is officially a concern, with Tom Brady far from elite form and his receivers nowhere near playoff-ready. It's time for everyone to roll up their sleeves and get back to work with Kansas City set to visit and the postseason a month away.
