España: Dos regiones acuden a votar con medidas de sanidad

ORDIZIA, España - Más de 4,4 millones de españoles en dos regiones del norte acudían el domingo a votar para las elecciones regionales en medio de estrictas medidas de precaución para evitar más brotes de coronavirus.
Las autoridades regionales, tanto en el País Vasco como en Galicia, impidieron que más de 400 personas que dieron positivo a COVID-19 acudieran a votar en persona y tuvieron que hacerlo por correo postal o delegar su voto a alguien más. El sufragio vía postal aumentó en ambas regiones.
La decisión fue respaldada tanto por la junta electoral nacional como por el Tribunal Supremo en respuesta a una queja presentada por los partidos de oposición, diciendo que las restricciones estaban justificadas en tiempos de pandemia.
Para acudir a votar, los electores tenían que llevar cubrebocas y permanecer a por lo menos metro y medio de distancia en los colegios electorales, que estaban equipados con desinfectantes para manos. Los votantes dejaban sus identificaciones en bandejas para que el personal...
