España: Dos regiones acuden a votar pese a brotes del virus

ORDIZIA, España - Más de 4,4 millones de personas en dos regiones del norte de España sufragaron el domingo en las elecciones locales en medio de estrictas medidas de precaución para evitar más brotes de coronavirus.
Las autoridades regionales del País Vasco y de Galicia impidieron que más de 400 personas que dieron positivo a COVID-19 acudieran a votar en persona, por lo que tuvieron que hacerlo vía postal o delegar su voto a alguien más. El voto por correo aumentó en ambas regiones.
La decisión fue respaldada tanto por la junta electoral nacional como por el Tribunal Supremo, los cuales afirmaron que las restricciones estaban justificadas en tiempos de pandemia, luego de que los partidos de oposición presentaran una queja.
Para acudir a votar, los electores tenían que llevar cubrebocas y permanecer a por lo menos metro y medio de distancia entre sí en las casillas, que contaban con desinfectantes para manos. Los votantes dejaban sus identificaciones en bandejas para que el personal electoral no...
