La visita de Trump salpica a la campaña electoral británica

LONDRES - El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, dijo el martes que no quiere interferir en la campaña electoral británica, pero su presencia en Londres nueve días antes de las elecciones del 12 de diciembre supone una complicación para el primer ministro y da munición a los rivales de Boris Johnson.
Trump, que acudió a la ciudad para una cumbre de líderes de la OTAN, dijo que se mantendría “al margen de las elecciones”.
“No quiero complicarlas”, dijo, pero eso fue demasiado tarde
Los partidos de la oposición británica están deleitándose con la visita de Trump, que es muy poco popular en el Reino Unido, y cuyas declaraciones de apoyo a Johnson y a la salida de Gran Bretaña de la Unión Europea se consideran más perjudiciales que útiles.
Trump también reiteró su apoyo al Brexit y dijo creer que Johnson haría “un buen trabajo”.
