Trump said he'd be open to taking information from a foreign power in the upcoming election. Hope Hicks just said she thinks that would be a crime, according to someone who heard her closed-room testimony

Former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks rejected President Donald Trump 's openness to receiving political information from foreign actors during closed door testimony on Capitol Hill, according to a top Democrat in the room.
Trump had previously suggested he would listen to information on opponents that could help his campaign if a foreign government offered it, frustrating Democrats and Republicans alike.
Hicks' full testimony will be made public later in the week.

Hope Hicks, the former White House communications director, hasn't returned several of President Donald Trump 's phone calls since she resigned from her post last year, CNN reported Wednesday.
Trump has repeatedly remarked, "What happened to Hope?," according to sources close to him who spoke with CNN.
Hicks reportedly remains loyal to Trump, but wanted some space from the political circus she played a key role in for three years.
