‘Relief' for gas stations, repair shops after Massachusetts RMV says most vehicle inspections resume

Gas stations and auto-repair shops got the green light to resume vehicle inspections on Saturday, bringing relief to businesses that had been seeing red for weeks after a malware attack pumped the brakes on the program.
“It's a huge relief,” said Eli Chalhoub, a mechanic and inspector at Jack's Gas & Service in Medford. “It felt like it was never going to happen.”
Chalhoub estimates Jack's Gas lost about $4,000 in the two-and-a-half weeks they were unable to conduct inspections.
