NEW YORK - Donald Trump invoked the Fifth Amendment and wouldn't answer questions under oath in the New York attorney general's long-running civil investigation into his business dealings, the former president said in a statement Wednesday.
Trump arrived at state Attorney General Letitia James' offices in a motorcade shortly before 9 a.m., announcing more than an hour later that he "declined to answer the questions under the rights and privileges afforded to every citizen under the United States Constitution.”

Trump meeting Wednesday with New York attorney general's office amid probe

Former President Donald Trump will meet on Wednesday with the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James amid its ongoing probe into the business practices of the family company he heads.
Trump will be questioned under oath by James's office, the Associated Press reported Wednesday morning. A spokesperson for the former president did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation that Trump's meeting with James's team would be a deposition. A spokesperson for the attorney general declined to comment.
