Arsenal Yards growth surges ahead of construction completion

After a long, languishing pause, the site of the Watertown Arsenal in the 1800s and the Arsenal Mall in the 1980s is again picking up steam and taking on a new life.
The firms Boylston Properties and Wilder bought the former Arsenal Mall property in 2013 and began construction in 2017 , with plans for a $400 million development of over a million square feet mixed-use neighborhood in Watertown's East End.
The area, renamed Arsenal Yards, has transformed and filled up quickly. Businesses began to set up shop in 2019, with 28 now open - including the Majestic 7 theater, Roche Bros, and Kura...
