Massachusetts still in the dark on unemployment insurance debt

The Baker administration still doesn't know how much money it will ultimately borrow to cover the cost of pandemic-era claims on the Bay State's unemployment system and it's an answer officials might not have anytime soon.
“I hope to have a more concrete timeline in the near future,” Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Rosalin Acosta said Monday during a hearing for a special legislative commission set up to recommend changes regarding the state's handling of its unemployment insurance trust fund.
