Editorial: Time to end endless eviction moratorium

The outlook for Boston and indeed Massachusetts was bleak in the spring of 2020 - COVID was taking hold, case numbers climbing, businesses shutting - and as they closed, millions were left without jobs.
It made sense then to enact an eviction moratorium in both Boston and the state as a whole - if people had no way to earn a living, how could they pay their rent? Stimulus checks started going out in April, but those kept the wolf from the door, and food on the table.
