Supreme Court upholds Obamacare again, rejecting GOP challenge from Texas

The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld Obamacare for the third time and rejected a sweeping challenge backed by former President Trump and Republican state attorneys.
The 7-2 majority found that the state of Texas and other plaintiffs lacked the legal standing to sue.
The decision preserves health insurance subsidies for more than 20 million Americans and protections for tens of millions more whose preexisting medical conditions could otherwise prevent them from obtaining coverage.

Supreme Court throws out Trump-backed challenge to Obamacare

The Supreme Court on Thursday threw out a lawsuit seeking to strike down Obamacare, finding that Republican-led states and individual plaintiffs behind the case lacked legal standing to challenge the law.
The Trump administration had supported the lawsuit from the red states, which argued that Obamacare was rendered unconstitutional after Congress wiped out the penalty for not having health insurance. Four of the court's conservative justices joined with the three-member liberal wing to reject the lawsuit.
