Christian Ortiz knew there was a need for an inner-city baseball program to help kids get noticed with the eventual goal to play college or professionally.
The former O'Bryant baseball player began Next Level Boston Sports, a nonprofit organization that provides low-income, inner city athletes the opportunity to use sports as a gateway to attain a higher education and play at the next level. This past season alone, 13 inner-city kids from his program will be playing college baseball.
