The Heat were doubted going into Game 6 against the Celtics. They heard it.
After the C's won a blowout in Game 5 in Miami to take a 3-2 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Heat were given almost no chance to come back. Nationally and even locally in Boston, pundits and personalities were writing off the Heat, who have multiple key players banged up. Segments were already being dedicated to previews of a Celtics-Warriors NBA Finals.
Even Warriors forward Draymond Green thought a matchup with the Celtics was inevitable.
