Red Sox stage late rally vs. Orioles to achieve high-water mark

BALTIMORE - It's not a playoff berth, but it's a start.
Five games over .500 was Alex Cora's first goal for his underachieving Red Sox. It was an arbitrary and modest benchmark to reach.
But after the season his club's had, it meant something: progress.
They practically had to move mountains to get there, but the Sox finally did it on Sunday afternoon, recovering from a blown save in the eighth inning to knock off the lowly Baltimore Orioles, 8-6, in 10 innings of work.
