Red Sox top prospect Marcelo Mayer is still dealing with soreness in his right wrist, which is why he's been out of Single-A Salem's lineup for four consecutive games since returning earlier this week.
Mayer is still performing non-game baseball activities while he's out, according to a source. The status of his return is day to day.
Mayer had missed 13 games starting on April 24 - first due to workload management before he developed right wrist soreness that kept him out longer - before he returned on Tuesday for one game. He hasn't played since, as of Salem's starting lineup on Saturday...
