Raulian Paiva 's move up to the bantamweight division was a success Saturday with an upset of Kyler Phillips at UFC on ESPN 27 .
After spending his previous octagon appearance at flyweight, Paiva moved up and made an immediate impact with a come-from-behind majority decision upset of Phillips in 15-minute war. The scores were 29-28, 29-28 and 28-28.
The bantamweight bout was the UFC on ESPN 27 co-main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It aired on ESPN and streamed on ESPN+.

T.J. Dillashaw returned to the octagon in successful fashion on Saturday when he beat Cory Sandhagen in the UFC on ESPN 27 main event.
After more than two years away due to a USADA suspension, former champ Dillashaw put himself right back at the top of the bantamweight division with a split decision victory over Sandhagen at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Dillashaw is now unbeaten in his past six fights at 135 pounds, and the win puts him in line to challenge the winner of Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan for the title.

Sandhagen experienced a heartbreaking split decision loss to Dillashaw in Saturday's bantamweight headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It went down to the wire, with judges scoring it three rounds to two across the board.
