The Celtics went into Thursday night's Game 6 within one game of the first NBA Finals appearance by a Celtics team since 2010, and at least one aspect was clear.
Ime Udoka's players have complete faith in his leadership.
“He's been a leader,” said Grant Williams. “He's been a guy that has been there for us night in, night out. I texted him at 4 a.m. after I think Game 5 and he was up just as much as I was.
“So he's definitely that kind of guy that has that players' intensity and mentality, but also has the coaching aspect to be able to communicate with you,” he said. “And that's what makes him so great and so unique is that he's able to do both sides. He's been there. He's been there on winning teams and he's also been there on teams where they haven't had success. So he knows exactly how to... not focus on the noise.
